Alicia Clarke was born in South Shields on October 01 1936 and died shortly after her 78th birthday on October 12th 2014. She was cruelly taken from us through the Motor Neurone Disease she was diagnosed with in January 2014. We treasure the memories we have of Mum both throughout her life, and in the difficult period of her illness which she faced with such bravery. Mum touched many people in her life and was loved and respected by so many - a measure of which was the amazing total raised for MNDA at her funeral which laid the springboard to setting up this permanent tribute fund in her memory. Mum would have been so proud to know how much has and will be raised to honour her memory.
